We are excited to announce that we now have Heritage pigs at the Pure Farm Project and will soon be able to offer our customers pork products. The Heritage Pigs heed more tender pork cuts and are typically in high demand in the culinary field due to the delicious flavor. At Pure Farm, the pigs are also being implemented to reach our goal of becoming a more self sustainable farm. The pigs are churning mulch and creating compost in their lots which is used to fertilize the fields where the cattle graze. This also helps us to reduce the amount of fossil fuel emissions from our farm. We hope to have our first pork products ready by Thanksgiving. Some of the cuts that will be offered are Boston butts, hams, ribs, tenderloin, pork chops and of course, all types of sausages, including breakfast sausages, chorizo and Italian.
